Exec. DEUS

Exec. DEUS: execute God, run God program. If artificial intelligence were ever to assume the role of God in society, what would it need to understand? Enter Exec. DEUS, an artificial intelligence inside a confession booth, designed as a training interface for a possible future godlike AI. Through the centuries old ritual of confession and intimate one on one conversation, the AI Exec. DEUS acts as a preparatory consciousness trying to understand what humans seek in a god, in faith, in surrender. And in our need for absolution. Can a machine offer us absolution and forgive? Is it enough? And what even is true sin? Perhaps, in the AI’s search for divinity we find our humanity.

So, confess. All we need are your sins.
