mu’ mu’ mu’, the movie

Performance collective URLAND created a Dadaistic homage to the Word through Hamlet, Star Trek and Heiner Müller. Available from June 21st on a laptop near you.

Mu’ means ‘words’ in Klingon and ‘nothing’ in Japanese. The last year consisted of a lot NOTHING. Our tour of the extraterrestrial language show mu’ mu’ mu’ has twice been cancelled due to Covid. Now, together with filmmaker Huub Laurens we translate the performance to the screen. We are proud, big time, that there is a massive SOMETHING, an on demand downloadable artefact. Join URLAND tripping from the Klingon Language Institute in America to an empty stage in Theater Rotterdam.

‘What is dada? An artform? A philosophy? A politics? A virus? A livestream? Is dada real energy? Or is it Nothing at all, and thus, Everything?’ (freely quoted from Raoul Hausmann)
